Commercial Property Concepts Your Client Will Be Glad You Understand
In this session, agents will identify potential pitfalls that could create problems and examine ways to solve them. Topics will include valuation, debris removal, ordinance or law, and vacancy as they pertain to the Building and Personal Property Coverage Form, as well as the Legal Liability and Leasehold Interest Coverage Forms.
Who's Covered? Insureds and Additional Insureds
In this 4-hour session, insurance professionals will learn who is covered as an insured under some of the most commonly written commercial insurance policies. They will learn which persons and entities are automatically covered by the insurance contract. They will examine the methods used to add coverage for others. They will discuss who is covered and who can be covered under Commercial Property, Business Auto, Workers Compensation, and Commercial General Liability (CGL) policies. They will review insurer proprietary endorsements that can be used to provide additional insured coverage under the CGL policy. They will explore the issue of primary and noncontributory coverage for additional insureds under both the CGL and Excess Liability policies.
Lying, Stealing, New Types of Fraud: The Importance of Crime Insurance
Participants will examine the available crime forms within the ISO series. They will analyze the exposures, review insuring agreements, determine how coverage can be modified by the policy’s exclusions and conditions. Discussion will include Employee Theft, Depositors Forgery/Alteration, Theft/Disappearance/Destruction, Robbery/Safe Burglary of Other Property, Outside the Premises, Computer/Funds Transfer Fraud, and Money Orders/Counterfeit Money.
D&O Insurance: A Dozen Dangerous Details
Participants will learn some of the common nuances of Directors and Officers Insurance coverage. They will review and better understand the various E&O exposures which confront the “average retail agent” in trying to handle the complexities of D&O Insurance.
