OVERVIEW AND TOPICS


Participants will discuss the importance of ethical behavior. They will examine the professional, legal, and ethical responsibilities in dealing with the day-to-day realities of the complex, ethical issues of the insurance industry. They will discuss the key to ethical decision making.
The risk of damage from flood exists in nearly every community. Agents will examine the National Flood Insurance Program and learn about the unique aspects of the coverage from the mountains to the coast. They will review recent changes and discuss contemplated changes. They will take a look at the North Carolina Association and the interaction with flood coverage.
In this session participants will identify the problems and discuss possible solutions to better serve their Personal Homeowners and Auto clients. Prepare to discuss issues related to host liquor liability, coverage for students away at school, damage to residence premises rented to others or premises under renovation, earthquake and flood coverage, and more.
Participants will take an in-depth look at Commercial Property, Business Automobile, and Commercial General Liability endorsements. Using real-life examples, they will identify coverage issues that may create problems for the insured, review the appropriate endorsements, and learn how they can amend policy provisions, add coverage, increase or decrease coverage limits, or restrict coverage.
