Charles Matejowsky | Bio


Charlie Matejowsky, CIC, LUTCF is vice president of financial services for Van Dyke, Rankin & Co. Inc., in Brenham, Texas. He joined the firm in June 1982, as a personal and commercial lines producer. Since March 1990, he has served in his current position and works almost exclusively on the life and financial services side of the business. As a "Retirement Repairman" he serves both individual and group clients. Prior to joining Van Dyke, Rankin & Co., he served 15 years as a classroom teacher and coach in several Texas Cities. Matejowsky is a 33-year member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and is a charter member of the American Health Insurance Association. He has served in numerous leadership roles at both local NAIFA-Central Texas and NAIFA-Texas. In 2016, he was awarded the Bruce Murry Tall Texas Award based on his association involvement, community service and education. He earned his CIC designation in 1986 and has been a National Faculty member for the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research for 20 years and instructs both basic and advanced classes all over the United States. He also served as a moderator for the American College of Financial Services' Life Underwriter Training Council for 20 years. Charlie prides himself in being an A B C (Aggie-Bohemian-Coach) kind of guy. His goal is to educate clients and prospects and help them make those very important lifetime and retirement decisions.

Corey Layne Wilkins | Bio


Corey Wilkins is the Owner and President of Corey Wilkins Insurance & Financial Services, Inc., a State Farm agency in Tacoma, WA. He attended the University of Washington in Seattle then transferred to Seattle Pacific University to receive a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Communications in 1991. He has worked in radio, TV, and continues to do 'voice-over' work for a variety of companies. While Corey was born in Astoria, Oregon, at age 9 he moved to the greater Seattle/Tacoma area where he resides today. He started in the industry with Safeco in 1994 as a Commercial Underwriter and later a Multi-Line Marketing Representative. In 1999, he became a Marketing Manager for Kemper Auto & Home Group for Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. Corey is the past president of both the local Rotary and Chamber of Commerce. He volunteers for Young Life, is on the speaking team for Teleios Ministries and sits on the board of the Faith Leadership Initiative. Corey is the lead singer/guitarist for the Johnny Cash tribute band, "Folsom Prism" and has ran six marathons. He's been married for twenty five years to his high school sweetheart, Gina. He also has 16 year old fraternal twins, Noah and Olivia; a dog that is a Boston Terrier, and a cat that is a nuisance!

Michael Kersgard | Bio


Michael Kersgard is an independent P&C and L&H licensed agent in Texas. He most recently served as the Life and Health Academic Director for The National Alliance for more than 6 years, 2008 to 2014. In addition to being an independent agent, Michael continues to be a National Faculty Member, CISR instructor and Educational Consultant for The National Alliance. During his forty plus years working in the industry, his experience includes Life, Health, and Property & Casualty products in personal lines, commercial lines, and farm/agribusiness. Michael has been involved in a variety of functions including agent, marketing, sales management, and agent training. Through the years he has conducted new agent training schools, continuing education seminars, and license training schools.
