Suzanne Swafford | Bio


Suzanne is currently a CISR instructor in Denver, CO. She has been instructing Agency Operations and Insuring Commercial Property for several years. She has been involved in the Colorado insurance industry since 1980 and has expertise in marketing, risk management, coverage analysis, and sales management. Suzanne graduated from University of Wisconsin Madison and has completed her Master's degree in Organizational Management. She has also taught several classes in consultative selling skills across the country and has been involved in formulating training programs for various insurance operations. Suzanne earned her CIC designation in 1984 and belongs to the National Association of Insurance Women as well as the National Alliance. She is also a member of the Alliance of Professional Women and the Professional Independent Insurance Agents of Colorado.

Insurance technical expertise in oil and gas, construction, gaming and real estate development are among the areas that Suzanne has developed during her years in the insurance brokerage industry. She has worked extensively with large, difficult to place accounts as well as workers compensation retention programs, captives, mergers and acquisitions, and self-insured programs. Property management, real estate investment trusts, commercial real estate developers and construction are areas of particular expertise. Suzanne has her Surplus Lines Association License and is currently working on her Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist designation and a designation in Management Liability Insurance (MLIS).

Suzanne's current area of expertise is in indoor trampoline parks, which have expanded all over the US as well as internationally. She has developed programs for the industry, sits on the ASTM committee formulating the standards for the industry and is a charter member of the International Association of Trampoline Parks (IATP).

Suzanne worked for national brokers in the Denver area and has won several awards for sales and technical abilities. She has been a licensed Colorado insurance broker in property, casualty, life and health insurance since 1980. Prior to 1980, Suzanne worked for Allstate Insurance and Dairyland Insurance Company.
