Charlie Matejowsky | Bio

Charlie Matejowsky, CIC, LUTCF is vice president of financial services for Van Dyke, Rankin & Co. Inc., in Brenham, Texas. He joined the firm in June 1982, as a personal and commercial lines producer. Since March 1990, he has served in his current position and works almost exclusively on the life and financial services side of the business. As a "Retirement Repairman" he serves both individual and group clients. Prior to joining Van Dyke, Rankin & Co., he served 15 years as a classroom teacher and coach in several Texas Cities. Matejowsky is a 33-year member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and is a charter member of the American Health Insurance Association. He has served in numerous leadership roles at both local NAIFA-Central Texas and NAIFA-Texas. In 2016, he was awarded the Bruce Murry Tall Texas Award based on his association involvement, community service and education. He earned his CIC designation in 1986 and has been a National Faculty member for the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research for 20 years and instructs both basic and advanced classes all over the United States. He also served as a moderator for the American College of Financial Services' Life Underwriter Training Council for 20 years. Charlie prides himself in being an A B C (Aggie-Bohemian-Coach) kind of guy. His goal is to educate clients and prospects and help them make those very important lifetime and retirement decisions.

Thomas Humphreys | Bio

In 1989, Tom began his insurance career by creating a scratch agency in Michigan. Selling the agency in 1997, he became a district manager for a captive insurance company, recruiting and training small business owners. In addition to his management role, in 2006 Tom became an instructor for Kaplan Financial teaching property and casualty and life, accident and health licensing courses, and continuing education courses across the country. In 2010, he opted to get back into sales as an independent insurance agent while continuing to teach at Kaplan Financial. Tom left Kaplan in 2015 and began teaching at the collegiate level at Olivet College which is home to a nationally recognized Risk Management and Insurance degree program. In addition to teaching, he is the Director of The Risk Management and Insurance Center at Olivet College. A member of the Michigan Association of Insurance Agents, he serves on its Education Committee. Tom was appointed by the Director of Insurance to the Michigan Auto Insurance Placement Facility Board of Governors, which is the auto assigned risk pool. To demonstrate his dedication to continued education and professionalism, Tom earned his CIC designation in 1996. He has also earned the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designations. Tom holds a bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration from Kaplan University.

Thomas Sanders | Bio

Tom Sanders has a background in the Insurance Industry that dates back to the late 1970's, where he started in production with a Life and Health Carrier in Iowa, soon after, he worked in training & marketing for the same carrier in Ohio and Michigan. In 1986 Tom purchased a Property and Casualty Agency to complement his Life, Health, and Group clients. In 1994 Tom began instructing for Ohio Insurance Agents as well as with The National Alliance. He was awarded the prestigious Jack V. Hedges Educator of the Year Award by the PIA of Ohio in 1999. He also serves on the National Faculty for CIC & CISR. Currently Tom is President of Sanders Insurance Services Inc. In 2016 Sanders Insurance merged their Property & Casualty book with another Agency in the County. Tom now focuses on Elder Care Planning using Life, LTC and Annuity products.
