Discuss dwelling coverage issues, including replacement cost, increased construction costs, debris removal, and code compliance and explore personal property coverage gaps and possible solutions. Take an important look at the latest update on coverage for condominiums and tricky issues like host liquor. Find out how in-home businesses affect property and liability coverage for homeowners and how coverage is impacted by the marital status of the named insured. Examine personal auto liability coverage for college students, children who own their own autos, and unlisted drivers and discuss problems with newly acquired autos, livery and delivery vehicles, and furnished autos. Identify limitations and exclusions for electronic and custom equipment and self-propelled vehicles.
What motivates ethical behavior and why is it important? Using real-life ethical dilemmas, participants will discuss the insurance agent’s obligations to the insurer, the consumer, and their peers.
Agents will examine some of the endorsements that can severely restrict coverage under the Commercial General Liability (CGL) Policy. They will review several ISO endorsements and see examples of non-standard endorsements often used by insurers. In each case, they will discuss the effect that the endorsement has on the coverage that would otherwise have been afforded by the CGL Policy.

They will identify some of the pitfalls to using Commercial Property policies to cover construction and renovation projects. They will review key features to look for in a Builders Risk Policy and discuss how to examine important conditions and exclusions related to coverage. They will learn how to use the Installation Floater to meet the needs of trade contractors involved in building projects.
