OVERVIEW AND TOPICS

Participants will learn the primary objectives for adding additional insureds, including the problems and how to minimize negative impacts. They will focus on the named insured, automatic insureds, and the additional insureds from the perspective of coverage provided by the Commercial General Liability and Umbrella/Excess Liability Policies.
Participants will review the background of the traditional “at-will” doctrine and statutory legal requirements, the major federal employment related laws, and major state statutes. They will examine an employment-labor law audit and EPLI insurance and analyze an EPLI policy.
Whether the policyholder is the owner or tenant of the premises, there are endorsements available to better tailor the coverage to the exposure. In this session, participants will learn how to develop a Commercial Property checklist for building, business personal property, and personal property of others, as well as time element exposures and coverages.
What motivates ethical behavior and why is it important? Using real-life ethical dilemmas, participants will discuss the insurance agent’s obligations to the insurer, the consumer, and their peers.
Insuring contracting risks can be tricky, especially when it comes to liability coverage. This course takes an in-depth look at the CGL Policy, including important endorsements needed to fill gaps created by policy exclusions.
Participants will take an in-depth look at endorsements that modify the Business Automobile Coverage form. They will learn how specific endorsements can amend policy provisions, add coverage, or restrict coverage.
