OVERVIEW AND TOPICS
Transportation Exposures of the Agriculture Client
This session will examine the transportation exposures faced by agricultural risks. Agents will review mobile equipment coverages found in farm liability forms; coverage for owned and non-owned vehicles under the Personal Auto Policy (PAP); and auto coverages available under the Business Auto Policy (BAP).
Personal Lines and The Sharing Economy
Participants will examine the concerns that exist when clients offer property and/or use property of others via popular web-enabled services such as VRBO, Couchsurf, Airbnb, and similar platforms. They will explore the most commonly used Homeowners Coverage forms, Personal Auto Policy, Recreational Vehicle Coverage forms, Watercraft policies, and the endorsements that can be used to provide coverage for these unique exposures. They will better understand the coverage issues that may arise when these items are shared with others.
Cyber Liability - What Every Agent Should Know
Agents will gain a better understanding of the current exposures associated with cyber risks and ways to protect their clients and themselves. They will discuss how to insure this rapidly growing exposure. Discussion will include cyber liability composition and cyber insurance policy coverage analysis.
The Anatomy of a Ransom Attack
In 2019, there were 15 organized cyber-criminal groups. Today, there are over 100. With the development of Ransomware-as-a-Service (RaaS), anyone can become an extortionist. This 4-hour course is designed to increase the insurance professional’s knowledge of cyber ransom attacks, the costs, and ways to protect against these attacks. After a brief history of ransomware development, the insurance professional will better understand the current exposures and ways to protect their clients and themselves. The insurance professional will examine how the attack happens and how the threat actor (TA) gets into the computer systems. They will discuss how TAs are using social engineering techniques to gain control of their computer networks and review the different stages of cyber extortion and its complexities. They will identify insuring agreements triggered in a cyber attack and discuss how to insure this rapidly growing exposure.
