Using various claim situations, participants will identify some common coverage issues that create problems. They will discuss Business Auto issues, as well as Commercial Property Coverage issues related to vacancy, setting building limits, margin clause, tenants improvements and betterments, condominium valuation, blanket coverage, business personal property, and business income. They will review the appropriate policy and endorsements and determine whether or not coverage is provided and how best to address any gaps in coverage.
Using a question and answer format, participants will discuss some of the pitfalls to look for when reviewing an insured’s property lease agreement. They will review the Legal Liability Coverage Form, Leasehold Interest Coverage Form, the Leased Property Endorsement, and other tools that may assist with this exposure.
This session will explore the liability exposures and coverage solutions for businesses that do not own automobiles. Attention will be given towards specific BAP endorsements that affect Who Is an Insured, Garagekeepers coverage, and leased autos.
In this session, participants will understand ethical challenges that insurance professionals face, difference between legal and ethical responsibilities and their fiduciary duties and obligations to the customer, insurer, and peers.
