OVERVIEW AND TOPICS

Today manufacturing companies face various challenges – from leased property risk exposures, cargo exposures, business income exposures, hold harmless agreement exposures, business auto exposures to employee foreign workers compensation exposures, employment practices liability exposures, and fiduciary exposures. In this 4-hour session, insurance professionals explore the key risks in manufacturing and offer insurance and risk management solutions and discuss actionable strategies to navigate them. Staying knowledgeable of these unique manufacturing risks and mitigating the associated exposures can help manufacturers position themselves for long-term growth and operational success.
In today’s business environment, technology errors and omissions insurance is essential. The integral role technology plays in many large businesses means the damages caused by malfunction can be extremely costly. Technology Errors and Omissions insurance coverage is not provided by a Commercial General Liability policy. In this session, you will examine the types of technology product defects, the types of technology products liability lawsuits, and the types of economic recovery from these suits, the types of product liability defenses, and the underwriting risks. Discussion includes the various technology errors and omissions coverage options available to address these unique exposures.
In this session, participants will explore significant concerns found within the ISO Personal Automobile and Homeowners policies – such as ownership, liability, and loss assessment coverage - and develop ways to explain them to their clients.
In this session, agents will explore the basic elements of insurance contracts and the major contract provisions, including waivers of subrogation, exculpatory agreements, and other indemnity requirements. The discussion will extend beyond the Commercial General Liability Coverage Form, and will include the Businessowners Coverage Form, Workers Compensation and Employers Liability Insurance Policy, Building and Personal Property Coverage Form, and Commercial Inland Marine.
So much has changed…this isn’t your daddy’s way of farming. In this session, participants look at what these changes mean to the farmer, and how they need to be considered and addressed by those insurance professionals working with these Ag accounts. They will review drone technology for farms and agribusinesses, the current regulatory environment, and the risk management and insurance challenges and opportunities. They will examine the current growth of the agritourism industry, its impact on traditional farm coverage, and the proper methods to manage the various risks including applicable insurance. They will learn about precision farming and understand the myriad issues surrounding its increased use. They will be able to distinguish between farm management and custom farming and examine the risk management and insurance implications of each.
Participants attending this session will be able to identify and analyze the liability exposures associated with the sale or gift of alcoholic beverages (including both common law and statutory law) from the perspective of social hosts, as well as licensees/permitees. They will review the Liquor Liability Coverage Form in depth, as well as endorsements that will further restrict or broaden coverage.
