Agency Coverage Standards
Every insurance agency should establish coverage standards to better serve their clients. Coverage standards include needed coverages and endorsements and avoided endorsements. In this session, participants will review and examine the specific insurance provisions of the Commercial General Liability Policy, Business Auto Policy Coverage Form, Workers Compensation and Employers Liability Insurance Policy, Commercial Umbrella Liability Policy, Commercial Property Policy, and Commercial Crime Policy. They will discuss coverages provided in each policy, as well as endorsements that may be needed to further tailor coverages to the specific exposures.
Florida 4-hour Update: Laws and Regulations
Insurance professionals will review the regulation of the insurance industry including jurisdiction of duties and responsibilities and licensing requirements. They will examine the licensing laws that affect their agency. They will discuss everything from who can be an agent in charge and what are the statutorily defined duties to what are the penalties for not properly licensing their agency. They will identify current legislative issues. They will learn the professional, legal, and ethical responsibilities in dealing with the day-to-day realities of the complex, ethical issues of the insurance industry along with the regulatory and ethical guidelines for Florida-licensed insurance professionals. The session will conclude with a review of current agency, agent, and adjuster violations and recent examples of enforcement actions.
Advanced Business Income
Participants will take an in-depth look at the business income exposure. They will review business continuation plans, policy language and its effects on the insured, pros and cons of various endorsements, the use of the Extra Expense Coverage Form and the Leasehold Interest Coverage Form, and more.
Pollution and Environmental Liability
Participants will learn the legal concepts related to pollution liability and important federal environmental statutes. They will examine solutions to this exposure by identifying gaps in standard commercial policies and the environmental insurance designed to fill those gaps.
