Jerry Rhinehart | Bio
Jerry Rhinehart graduated from the University of West Florida in 1970 (College of Education). After teaching at the high school level for a brief time, he moved into the insurance industry. He worked for a property and casualty direct writer for several years. In 1983, he and his wife opened an independent insurance agency in Tallahassee, Florida. While there he focused primarily on the life, health, and financial services area. Additionally he began working in the Continuing Education field as a speaker and writer. The property and casualty division was sold in 1995. Today Jerry continues to operate Rhinehart & Associates located in Panama City, Florida, where he works with clients concerning life insurance, long-term care, and annuities.
Jerry serves on the National Faculty of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors. He attained his CIC designation in 1986, CLU in 1987, ChFC in 1988, and RHU in 1997. He is a Director and Past President for the Tallahassee Chapter of CLU and ChFC. He also served as Director and Secretary/Treasurer for Professional Insurance Agents of Florida and is a past Agent of the Year for that organization. He is a former member of the Board of Governors of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors (Austin, TX).
Since 1986 Jerry has conducted more than 1,500 programs to insurance, CPA, attorney, and Human Resource groups on topics that range from Estate Planning, Long-Term Care, Life Insurance, Annuities, Business Perpetuation, and Health Insurance. He frequently writes articles for various insurance trade magazines on the above topics. Additionally, he serves as an expert witness in legal proceedings regarding life and health insurance matters.
John M. Dismukes | Bio
John Dismukes has been involved in the insurance business since 1967. He has worked for an insurance company as a marketing representative, independent insurance agent, and served as Director of Education for the Independent Insurance Agents of Oklahoma from 1996 to July 2000.
John received his CPCU designation in 1977, his AAI designation in 1984, and his CIC designation in 1994, and his AIS designation in 2000. He has served as President of the Independent Insurance Agents of Greater Tulsa and President of the Northeastern Oklahoma Chapter of CPCU. John is a National Faculty member of The National Alliance and serves as Educational Consultant.
John formed his own independent training and consulting firm in 1998, and now conducts educational seminars all over the United States. In addition, he provides consulting services, expert witness services, and insurance agency valuations to agencies and companies.
Tim L. McClendon | Bio
Tim McClendon began his insurance career in 1972. His training included several years with a major carrier in all facets of the property and casualty business.
Tim is Managing Partner of Hertel McClendon, L.L.P. in Fort Worth, Texas. The agency maintains an additional location in Austin, Texas. The agency is affiliated with Insurors Group, L.L.C., comprised of twelve professional agencies in Fort Worth, Austin and all over Texas.
Tim earned the Certified Insurance Counselor professional designation in 1977, the Certified Workers Compensation Advisor designation in 2004, and is a licensed risk manager. His clients include manufacturers, printers, law firms, technology, retail and contracting risks.
A graduate of Texas Christian University, Tim holds a BBA degree in Management. He is a member of the TCU Lettermen's Association and the TCU Alumni Association.
As a member of the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors National Faculty, Tim teaches insurance courses throughout Texas and around the country including Certified Insurance Service Representatives, Certified Insurance Counselors and Ruble Seminars. Tim was chosen as one of seven charter members of The National Alliance's Distinguished Faculty in 2014.
He is a past chairman of the Board of Governors for the Society of CISR. Tim recently served as Chairman of the Technical Affairs Committee for the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America and is a past chairman of Mid-America Insurance Conference.
He is a past "Teacher of the Year" for Professional Insurance Agents of Texas and has been a member of the adjunct faculty teaching insurance and risk management courses for the M. J. Neeley School of Business at TCU. He has taught classes for the University of Dallas MBA program, the Independent Insurance Agents of Texas, CPCU Society, CFP program and in-house classes for many insurance carriers and agencies. Tim also serves as an expert witness in insurance-related litigation.
