What Time Does This Start For Me?

Pacific Mountain Central Eastern

OVERVIEW AND TOPICS

Participants will be able to explain the various ways to insure small businesses. Many times commercial coverages are overlooked because of the small size of the insured operations, but many accounts have the same significant exposures as large corporations. Participants will review the property, liability, automobile, workers compensation, umbrella/excess, and equipment breakdown coverages that small business owners need to consider.
This course is a straightforward and practical course for understanding professional, legal, and ethical responsibilities in dealing with the day-to-day realities of the complex, ethical issues of the insurance industry. Insurance professionals will be able to define ethics, as well as explain what ethics is not. They will examine the importance of ethical behavior and discuss questions to ask to determine if there is a potential ethical dilemma. They will review court cases dealing with the agent as a “professional” along with the agent’s duty to the customer, insurer, and peers. The use of ethical dilemmas will give the participants the opportunity to apply what they have learned.
