Beyond the Cyber Policy
There are a multitude of cyber exposures beyond the information security-driven risks addressed by the typical cyber policy. In this session, participants will learn to identify those cyber exposures and examine their impact into property, casualty, and other claims that may arise. They will discuss the risk management challenges and discuss insurance coverage solutions found beyond the cyber policy for these unique exposures.
Is Your Insured Driving a State-of-the-Art EPL Policy?
In this session, agents will learn the differences between EPL policies and the practical effects of those differences on various exposures and classes of business; including the areas of exposure for independent contractors, leased employees, volunteers, and the various third-party coverages.
Cutting Edge Insurance Issues
In this session, agents will identify emerging risks that could have a significant impact on their client’s business, their agency or organization, or even their career, such as: use of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, medicinal and recreational marijuana, solar storms and falling satellites, autonomous vehicles, big data analytics, drones, nanotechnology, and ridesharing. They will discuss the exposures, coverage issues and gaps with traditional insurance policies, and explore possible insurance solutions to these unique risks.
When the Unthinkable Happens…Will the Insurance Values Be Adequate?
The value of insurance-to-value is often overlooked. Overstated values may cause the insured to carry more insurance than necessary, and understated values may cause a devastating financial impact to the insured. In this session, participants learn some of the ways to determine coverage limits and what methods are available to achieve it. They will better understand the definitions, deductibles, endorsements, and coverage options in Personal and Commercial Insurance policies.
