What Is Ordinance or Law and How Do I Cover It?

This short course will provide you with a basic overview of building ordinances and zoning laws, including how they vary between municipalities. We will introduce the concepts of Ordinance or Law coverage, including what is provided within some coverage forms and how additional coverage can be added by endorsement. We will look at both commercial and personal lines policies, including the ISO Building and Personal Property Coverage Form, Causes of Loss – Special Form, and the Homeowners policies.
