Bruce McCreadie | Bio

Bruce McCreadie is the founder and president of American PEO Insurers, a virtual agency that specializes in providing insurances for Professional Employer Organizations and Staffing Companies across the country. Bruce commenced his agency career as a founding partner in "Ashlyn & McCreadie Insurance and Financial Services", an agency which was formed in 1982. This agency was driven by a very active sales center operation that marketed Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, and Life, Health, and Financial Services. Upon retiring to Florida, Bruce opened a new agency in Tallahassee marketing personal and commercial lines. The agency was very successful in that it was a "laboratory" where the latest in technology and marketing & sales ideas were implemented. During this time Bruce also served on the Faculty of Florida State University, College of Business, Department of Risk Management and Insurance. Bruce is a graduate of Florida State University majoring in "Business Management" with minor coursework in "Risk Management and Insurance." Bruce is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), an Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI), and a Certified Professional Insurance Agent (CPIA). Additionally, Bruce has served on various Boards of The National Alliance and currently serves on the Florida State University Executive Council of the Dr. William T. Hold/The National Alliance Program in Risk Management & Insurance.

David Walker | Bio

David Walker began his insurance career in 1979 as an agent with Guarantee Mutual Life Insurance Co. In 1981, he joined Hartland Insurance Agency as a producer, rose through the ranks, and currently serves as president and principal of the agency. Throughout his career, David has been an active association leader at the state and national level. He has served on the Michigan Young Agents Council, the National Young Agents Council, the Michigan Association of Insurance Agents (MAIA) Education Committee (including three years as chairman), MAIA Legislative Affairs Committee and MAIA Agency-Company Relations Committee. In 2014-15 he served as the Chairman of the Independent Insurance Agent & Brokers of America (IIABA or the Big “I”). At the national level, David served for five years, 2004-09, as the director representing Michigan on the Big “I” National Board of Directors. In 2009 David was elected to the IIABA executive committee at the association’s Leadership Conference in New Orleans. He has served on many and varied committees at the IIABA level during his service on the board and executive committee. David has taught many classes nationally for CIC, CISR and numerous conventions. In addition to teaching classes, David serves as an Expert Witness on a multitude of insurance issues. David has received numerous MAIA awards including the Young Charger Award in 1986, the Aschom Education Award in 1997 and 2000, the Forsetlund Award (Agent of the Year) in 2000 and 2003, and the W.O. Hilderbrand Award in 2006 for his lifetime service and achievement in the insurance industry and MAIA, and in 2019 received the Capitol Award for his active work on legislative affairs in Michigan. In 2019 David received the Woodworth Memorial Award from the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America for lifetime service to the insurance industry.

Joseph Karl Sherrill | Bio

Karl Sherrill is a Consultant with Marsh & McLennan Agency (MMA) in their High Point, NC office. Karl serves as the Leader for the National Manufacturing Practice Group at MMA and manages their Private Education and Tuition Insurance programs. Prior to joining MMA, Karl worked over 20 years in manufacturing with specific experience in textiles, automotive, furniture, plastics, food and beverage, distribution/supply chain, and heavy machinery. He has specific training in team building, ISO Standards, OSHA Voluntary Courses, and Kaizen Continuous Improvement Instruction. His background provides unique insights into the risk that companies face and allows him to build innovative and forward-thinking risk management strategies for his clients. Karl is a respected lecturer having taught undergraduate and graduate courses in professional sales, sales management, business communication, and fundamentals of management. He enjoys speaking to various business groups regarding ethics, leadership, interpersonal relationship dynamics, and professional network building. Karl earned his CIC and CRM designations in 2013. Karl is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Textile Management. He also earned his MBA from Elon University, where he received the Richard H. Behrman Most Outstanding MBA Graduate award. Karl was also inducted into the International Business School Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma. He served on the board for the Elon School of Business and was a founding member of both the Elon Chandler Professional Sales Center Board of Advisors and the Elon MBA Student-Alumni Board. Karl serves as a District Director on the Board of the Independent Insurance Agents of North Carolina (IIANC) and is a past Chairperson for the NC Young Agents Committee of the IIANC. In 2011, Karl was selected as the North Carolina Young Agent of the Year. He also serves on the Legislative Committee for the IIANC where he spends time in Washington, DC meeting with legislators regarding insurance and business legislation. In the community, Karl serves on the advisory board for a local bank, held leadership roles in church and civic organizations. As an Eagle Scout, he remains active in his local troop.

Sara Bradshaw Ray | Bio

Sara also has over 30 years in agency ownership and management. She is a licensed Property & Casualty, Life & Health independent agent and also maintains her Certified Insurance Counselor designation of distinction. Her agency management experience is complimented by a background in company commercial underwriting which enables her to uniquely step into the shoes of her agency principal clients with empathetic eyes to help evaluate and manage their agency ownership challenges. Not only does Ms. Ray bring a wealth of industry expertise, resources and knowledge to the table, her vast experience coupled with a keen sense of the dynamics of efficiency, and its impact on productivity uniquely suits her to meet a variety of operational, management, and marketing needs in organizations today. She is the founder of SynerDynamics Group, a consulting firm that has become known as "THE agency asset maximization resource" in the insurance industry today. A renowned speaker on the subject of agency efficiency, Ray advocates that by capitalizing on the power of synergy the result is maximized productivity which adds strength to the organizational dollar and ultimately a blacker bottom line. With a lifelong passion for leadership development, Ms. Ray is also an executive coach and also founded MyNetwork, a nationwide facilitated mastermind network for female leaders.
